Description
This Painting depicts Goddess Tara, who according to Hindu and Buddhist Religion is the second of the Dasa (ten) Mahavidyas or “Great Wisdom goddesses“, and is a form of Shakti, the Tantric Manifestations of the Goddess. The word ‘Tara’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘tṛ’, meaning to cross. In many other contemporary Indian languages, the word ‘tara’ also means star.
The Deities shown in Thangka Paintings are usually Depictions of visions that appeared to great spiritual masters at moments of realization, which were then recorded and incorporated into Buddhist scripture. The proportions are considered sacred as not only are they exact representations of Buddhist deities, but also the visual expression of spiritual realizations that occurred at the time of a vision. Thangka painting is thus a two-dimensional medium illustrating a multi-dimensional spiritual reality(source of Information: norbulingka.org).
The Canvas consists of 100% Export Quality Pure Cotton Fabric, which has been hand-picked to give the Best Quality Output. Fine Art Reproduction coupled with the use of Epson True Color Digital Printer Series has given the painting a Glossy Finish.
The Painting comes in three Dimensions- 12 x 10 inches, 23 x 19 inches & 35 x 29 inches
The Goddess Tara painting would undoubtedly be a great item for your Room/Wall Decor.
